Alannah

Alannah is 15 months today!

She is walking everywhere, very steady and walking well

She has her 2 lower front teeth, 4 upper center teeth and 2 top molars that have just come thru

She babbles alot and mimics alot of the sounds and vocal intonations we make.

She says "Hello" very clearly, and "Hi, Da" and "Bye Da" and "That" (usually pointing at something)

She understands everything we tell her, understands "no", and "don't touch", will go get something we ask for

She has recently attached herself to a pink bear and sleeps with it, though she likes her little dolly and rabbit lovey occasionally too.

She weighs right around 20 pounds

I just went through her clothes and put away the last of the 6-9 month stuff, even though she could still wear most of it. She is in mostly 12 month clothes, with some 12-18 month, especially in dresses and one-piece outfits.

She is still in size 3 diapers.

He foot measures just barely over 4 inches long........ which still puts her in size 0-6 month shoes shown here that I really would like to get her - I am just having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact I need to order 0-6 month size for my 15 month old! I think they need to change there sizing to Small, Medium and Large!

Colm

Colm is almost 3...... he has a birthday in just a little over a week!

He is very smiley and happy most of the time.

He is my sleeper-boy. He is almost always my last kid up in the morning and still takes a nice nap too!

He also talks alot, very clearly and has an unlimited vocabulary.

He plays just about anything that Caeden is playing and they do pretty good about sharing and not fighting over toys.

He knows all his letters and their sounds but is still working on being able to actually write. his drawings and such are still all scribbles :-)

He is totally my barefoot boy too - the child will not keep socks on.

If his feet get cold and he realizes it, he "might" put on his slippers or socks, but they are usually off again within a short while.

Caeden

So, how about some updates on the kids :-)

I'll start with Caeden.........

He is very talkative, will talk constantly, about anything!

He is really into drawing, writing, coloring....... there are scraps of paper all over the house with random and miscellaneous things he has drawn

He can sound out just about any word that is "phonetically correct" - he is not really reading yet, but is good at picking out and recognizing words he knows.

He is all boy - loves to play with his gun...... he and Colm can often be found hunting bears or tracking the "bad guys".

He is very into several pieces of clothing and wears the same thing, over and over and over again. I don't mind this too much because of our laundry situation, as long as we aren't going anywhere and it's not too dirty yet, he can wear whatever he likes :-)

Superman

The boys have discovered Superman....... and they love to run around the house "flying".

Not a bad S I must say.....!

And I love that little baby blankets are useful even when they've grown up!

pregnancy update

I was reminded I forgot to update the last baby post with the dating ultrasound results...... my dates are correct. Baby measured perfectly for where I should be. I am 15 weeks today, with a due date of July 30.

I am feeling good- often exhausted, but I am thinking that's the new normal :-)

If I had to guess at this point I would lean towards girl but that is only based on the fact I still have one pair of "real" jeans that fit and I am not really in maternity yet. (actually in that nice place where nothing really fits and I live in sweats and pull on the one pair of jeans that fits when I go out!) It was this way with Alannah - I was so surprised how long it took before I needed maternity clothes. With all the previous pregnancies I was in maternity and couldn't wear my regular clothes by easily 8-10 weeks. So, it's either I carry girls differently and it is a girl - OR it's the fact I still have extra weight hanging around from all the kids and my "regular" clothes fit longer because of that! We'll find out in another few weeks, if it will let us see!

I took a bunch but this was the best one :-) At least they are all happy!

Yes, that's a pair of underwear on her head.... she loves finding the boys underwear and carrying them around or wearing them like a hat. It's kinda cute and I figured we needed a couple pictures to save for when she's older!
