I think this little "pose" is too cute!

The boys love swinging, Alannah loved it last summer, but was not thrilled when I put her in there this time - she was perfectly content walking around the park, just walking and walking- you can see her in the background.

Colm would seriously swing all day if I let him.

Snow

Happy Spring!

the view from the front door this morning - after it had snowed the last 24 hours! We have a good foot of snow I would say. Maybe closer to a foot and a half in the drifts. Must be Colorado!

This was Caeden a couple days ago laying around in the sled with no snow :-)

St. Patrick's Day Parade

It was a wonderful sunny Saturday and we took the kids to the parade. Caeden had been asking about going, remembering it from several years ago, and he was thrilled to go.

Caeden picked up a dead brown leaf and was waving it around like a flag for awhile - too cute!

Caeden was bummed when the first set of green necklaces came around and he missed out. He went back and sat down so dejected. We found the all one the next time they were handing them out and it made his day!

It's hard to believe you are 3 years old already...........

and yet sometime when we talk to you, it's hard to believe you are only 3!

Your sweet smile and easy going personality are so fun to see.

You are so loved by your brother and sister, and you love them back just as much.

Your white blond hair is so fine......... your eyes are blue.

You love wearing odd assortment and combination of clothing and have taken to dressing yourself when you wake up.

You love bananas like no one else.

You sleep like no other child around...... often sleeping till 7:30 or 8 in the morning and still enjoying a wonderful afternoon nap as well.

You have just started, this week, writing a couple letters...... A, O, C

You have requested pasta and grapes for dinner today

and carrot cake for dessert with "Colm" written on it.

Baby news

I had my ultrasound yesterday. It worked out happening sooner then I thought it would since I first had to reschedule an appointment a couple weeks ago and then my midwife had to reschedule due to a death in her family. Then while we were rescheduling I realized it was close to ultrasound range and asked when they usually schedule it. She told me between 18-19 weeks.... and I was 18 1/2 weeks in the time frame we were scheduling so we were able to get scheduled for the ultrasound this time instead of waiting till next time!

I have been feeling great. Just barely into maternity clothes, but definitely cannot wear my regular clothes anymore. I have only gained a little weight, so that has been nice. I've been just starting to feel little kicks and flickers from inside, that is always fun. Nothing too consistent, but enough to know it is baby and not something else.

Baby looks perfect. All the measurements and markers they look for were in the right place, range, etc. We took the technician's word for it as she pointed out the kidneys and bladder and arteries going in and out of the heart, but she said they looked wonderful- how they can see what is what is amazing. The baby weighs about 9 ounces.

We also got cute peeks at the arms and fingers, legs and back and other recognizable parts. And yes, baby fully let us know "what" we are getting......... it was very clear and there was no doubt about it.

We will be welcoming a little BOY come late July or early August and Alannah will retain her sole princess status for now! We are all excited and have been discussing names, but haven't finalized one yet.......... so for now he will be "little brother".

I got ready to take some pictures of Colm last week in anticipation of his upcoming birthday. Alannah thought it was just for her and posed herself. It was rather cute and I took the opportunity and snapped a couple pictures. She was so proud of herself. The last one Colm says is his favorite one I took....... he loves his sister!
