It's a girl!

Welcome to little Charlotte Mae!

She was born this afternoon at 1:37 pm and weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces. After waiting 8 days past her due date, she arrived quickly since Erin made it all the way thru the church service this morning before leaving for the hospital.
Congratulations to Troy, Erin, Madelyn and Ella!

poster child for Gymboree!

I'm not biased or anything, but don't you think he would make a great model for Gymboree?

little football fan

Colm was sitting here totally zoned into the football games - Kansas City vs Indianapolis. It was rather cute since no one else was really watching.

Emma, Colorado

Never heard of Emma, Colorado - but it is on our map and we drive by these old buildings between El Jebel and Snowmass. If only these buildings could talk...........the stories I am sure they would tell!

This is the house next door - it's in good shape and there are people living there.
This is across the highway - it looks like a schoolhouse.

Random pictures

Couldn't resist getting a picture of this sign!

Can you see the ski lift basket that has been made into a little swing or seat in this yard? You can see this from the main road in and out of Snowmass and as we were leaving one da Caeden said "I see a helicopter". I said "oh, really, that's nice" - I didn't see or hear any helicopter, but figured it wasn't worth mentioning. The next day I saw this and realized that is what he saw. Not a bad deduction from a 2 year's perspective!

I am guessing they can get anywhere they like all winter in this vehicle!

thoughts from the backseat

Some thoughts and cute stuff from Caeden in the past few days -

I gave him a little bowl with about 6 pieces of a clementine orange, already broke apart in his carseat. I hear him say "look mama, I'm making eggs" - what's he doing?
Breaking the orange pieces in half - making a juicy mess all over his hands and seat.

Caeden: "Mama, let's go to Glenwood Springs and see grammie"
Me: "well, grammie lives in Colorado Springs and that's pretty far from here"
Caeden: "let's go to her neighboorhood and see Uncle Trevor so we can play cars"

Caeden: "Oh man, we have to go home, I need my lawn mower"

Me: "so, what should we do now" (expecting an answer of go to the park, store or see daddy)
Caeden: (in a very excited voice) "oh, let's go to Phoenix and go to the train park!"

That's all I can think of at the moment, but he is quite the talker and usually has something cute to say!

traveling.............

We spent the week with Kieran up in the mountains. He is working in Snowmass Village, about 10 minutes from Aspen and we are staying in El Jebel.
Here are a couple pictures - I've got lots more to put up later.

The view of El Jebel and the valley surrounding

How to entertain an 8 month when you hate to put him on the dirty floor!

Caeden near Maroon Bells
Colm near Maroon Bells
Attempting to get one of both of them............obviously the scenery, both near and far are much more interesting!

Happy Birthday Uncle Trevor!

Hard to believe my 16th birthday present is now 17 years old...............kinda makes you feel old.

Speaking of feeling old. I saw the other day that there is a new American Girl doll out. You know, those "history" dolls; they have a Kristen from the 1800-something's, Samantha from early 1900's, an Native American doll and so on. Well, their new doll is Julie - FROM 1974 - gee, don't I feel like a piece of history!
