8 months

A couple pictures of all 3 from earlier this week

Alannah passed her 8 month mark this week........... can you believe she is 8 months already? Where does the time go?

At 8 months she is..........

~rolling well, both directions

~sits up all the time, plays so nicely with toys on the floor, as long as her brothers don't upset her!

~is napping well at 9 & 1 and a catnap later

~is going to sleep SO MUCH better then she was, lays down and falls asleep without hardly a fuss

~is eating solids 1-2 times a day - yogurt and bananas are her favorites

~still toothless!

We love you sweet princess!

eternal perspective

Last Sunday the kids and I were sitting in the car waiting for Kieran who was talking with someone. Caeden asked what we were doing, I told him "I was waiting for his Da" and then asked him "what are you doing?" He answered........ "I'm waiting for the King of Heaven to come get us". Too precious. We then talked about Jesus coming back, and the trumpet sound and how quick "the blink of an eye" is. He kept asking, "will we hear the trumpet if..... we are in bed, in the mountains, in church, in a car"....... and on and on...... this morning he asked if we would hear it in North America or Mexico!

The state flower of Colorado is the columbine, we found one the other day growing in "our yard" - the boys thought it was so pretty. I told them it was the state flower and we could look at it but not pick it. They kept going back to look at it. Then the next morning they took Kieran out to show him the flower. They talked about it some more. Kieran asked Colm what it was called and he said "it's mine", the Colm-mine, it's mine!" Too cute - I hadn't even put together the similarity with his name till he said it, but apparently he caught right on to it!

So - here's the Colm-mine flower!

7 months

Well, okay - a little past 7 months, I know :-) But hey, it's better then never!

Alannah Caileen

~you are rolling front to back

~you are sitting up

~you have tried rice cereal, avocado, banana and yogurt, but still aren't eating a whole lot

(might help if mama got a little more regular about offering it, but oh well!)

~you are taking 2-3 naps a day, usually around 9 & 1 (or 2 hours after waking) and then a catnap

(please note the still toothless grin!)

Just some pictures of the kids from this morning......... finally caught Alannah's grin on camera :-) Caeden was playing peek-a-boo behind my head! She's such a doll!

Caeden is throughly enjoying wide open spaces to mow........ he seriously mowed the freshly mown grass for about an hour today........ back and forth, around and back........
